IT Infrastructure for the Cannabis Industry

The cannabis operators who win in a Schedule III world are building the right foundation now.

I spent 10 years building IT infrastructure for one of the largest cannabis companies on earth. I know what this industry needs to scale properly, and I bring that experience directly to your operation.

Where Automation Meets Support.

Cannabis Rescheduling: Schedule III

The regulatory environment is maturing. So are the expectations on your IT.

Cannabis rescheduling to Schedule III is one of the most significant regulatory shifts this industry has seen. Most operators are focused on the policy. Here's what they're not talking about:

Banking partners will want cleaner, more auditable financial systems

Compliance reporting will require more documentation across every location

Multi-state operators will need standardized, consistent tech stacks

Investors will scrutinize your operational systems more closely than ever

The operators who are going to win are the ones who started building the right foundation now. Not after the rules change.

How We Work With You

Every engagement is structured, scoped, and documented. No bloated contracts, no open-ended commitments, no surprise invoices. Built for operators who need real accountability.

01

Infrastructure Audit

Fixed-fee · Where every engagement starts

Before you scale another dispensary or enter a new state, you need to know exactly where your systems stand. We audit your infrastructure, identify every gap, and hand you a written action plan. Not a sales pitch.

  • Network security and identity exposure across all locations
  • MFA enforcement, backup readiness, and disaster recovery gaps
  • Vendor dependencies, documentation gaps, and compliance risk

Written Risk & Stability Summary with a 30-Day Action Roadmap.

02

Build & Harden

Defined scope · Documented delivery

We fix what the audit finds. Facility buildouts, tech stack standardization, security hardening. Structured remediation with a defined scope and documented delivery. No open-ended commitments.

  • Dispensary and cultivation facility IT buildouts
  • Firewall hardening, MFA enforcement, and privilege reduction
  • Tech stack standardization across multi-state operations

Clearly scoped project with documented delivery and sign-off.

10 Years in Cannabis IT

I've built this infrastructure before. At scale.

10Years in cannabis
50+Dispensaries built
17+States covered
$500MPeak revenue supported

In March 2016, I became the first IT employee at Columbia Care, a medical cannabis company operating in a handful of states. By the height of the pandemic we had 3,000 employees and were the fourth largest cannabis company on the planet, driving nearly half a billion dollars in annual sales.

I helped build a team covering 17+ states. I personally set up over 50 dispensaries and around 20 cultivation & manufacturing facilities spanning Arizona, California, Florida, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and more.

On August 16th, 2026, I will have been at The Cannabist Company (rebranded from Columbia Care in 2023) for 10 years. That experience is now available directly to cannabis operators through RavenSlate IT, LLC.

I'm not a consultant who read about this industry. I built it.

  • Dispensary & cultivation facility buildouts
  • Multi-state expansion and operational playbooks
  • Vendor and technology selection for cannabis ops
  • Compliance and security readiness across state lines
  • Scaling IT teams and managing MSP partners
  • AI and automation integration for cannabis operators

Cannabis Operators

If you're thinking about what comes next, let's talk.

Whether you're opening your first dispensary, expanding into new states, or rebuilding after rapid growth exposed structural gaps, every engagement starts with an honest audit of where you stand.
